Jaci Wheeler Yes, I'm currently writing a book called, girls with issues. One of the girls became deaf late in life. She speaks, but also signs, so there isn't as much ASL as the silent duo, but there will be some.
Jaci Wheeler I read other books. Some the same style as mine but for the most part I give myself about a week off, I read as many different types of books as I can, I watch movies, I go about my life and then I can usually pick right up where I left off. I don't try to get inspired, I let the inspiration come to me. It's much less frustrating this way.
Jaci Wheeler The best thing about being a writer to me is that people actually are interested and want to read your books. As silly as that sounds I write for me. I write as therapy. I fall in love with the characters, and I give a little bit of myself to each and every one...the fact that people are interested enough to want to read a little piece of me just completely humbles and touches me every time!
Jaci Wheeler Honestly the best advice I can give you is to just do it! Sit down and write. it doesn't matter if it's good, or bad, or not coming together. Don't give yourself an out or an excuse about the time not being right. The time is going going to be perfect, but if writing is something that you love to do, then just DO IT! It doesn't have to be amazing, or this perfect book that everyone loves to read,,as long as you love it and you feel accomplished that's all the matters. Chances are if it touches you, it will touch at least another person. Just do what you love.
Jaci Wheeler I am finishing up the last round of edits on the final book in the series "aligned" And currently I have something completely different in the works. The story has slowly been unfolding in my mind for about a week, so hopefully it will unfold on the page soon enough.
Jaci Wheeler I've been writing ever since I could remember. It was always my dream to be a published Author, but life got in the way as it is known to do and my dream was completely forgotten. We had a pretty stressful year last year and my husband started to encourage me to take some time for myself and do something I enjoy. When he asked me what I would do if I could pick any hobby, writing instantly came to mind but I knew I'd never find time. He challenged me to just go for it, sit down, start writing and see how it helped. Within a month I had all three books finished (unedited of course) And horrible sleep deprivation. I was able to escape from all the worries and problems going on around me and find my own little world where everything was ok.
Jaci Wheeler One afternoon my husband and I were in the car on our way to costco and the conversation took a political turn (I abhor political debates) And I started telling my husband how I think President selection should go, and one thought led to another and my own little utopian world unfolded right before my eyes.
