The weaponized Necrosis Virus found its way into the water tables of the United States causing a pandemic of biblical proportions. Today the population's tipping point was reached as decaying human bodies littered the earth's surface– with no cure in sight, we have lost the fight for survival.

I would travel to "the Land" in Stephen R. Donaldson's, Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. Thomas is the Unbeliever, and does not see himself for what he is... I would be his guide and help him to grow into his full potential before the evil in the Land destroys him.

My next book to read is by one of my favorite authors, Orson Scott Card. It's called the Swarm and is a story about the second Formic wars.

While serving in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller, sometimes we would see very fast objects moving on primary radar. At the time we were told it was most likely caused by temperature inversion, but what if it wasn't?

To deal with a temporary case of writers block, I walk my dogs on a delightful trail. I relax and think my way through the problem with no distractions except for the beauty of mother nature. It seems to work for me. At other times, with a minor case of writers block, I will write ideas down and then write thoughts down around the ideas and something always jumps out at me.

Telling a story that entertains people is a wonderful feeling for me. In the genre I write within: Fantasy, Sci-fi, and Horror, your story is limited only by your own imagination. You can create whole new worlds and species with the tap of a keyboard.

Find out how much you write in an average day, then set a date for completing your manuscript. If you don't feel like writing one day, then do some research on the book. I joined a writers group and have heard about many people working for years on their book because they did not set a realistic goal for finishing their work. I could talk for hours about this topic, but this is a simple fix to keep you on the road to completion.

I have just finished the second book in the God Chronicles trilogy and will be editing soon. I am debating if I should write the third book in the series or write a Sci-fi first. It seems there's always a story waiting to be written.

It seems to come naturally. I enjoy entertaining people, and I have a lot of stories floating around in my mind that I think readers would enjoy. I write to get the story out, keep the reader interested, and in the end, to make the reader happy. When I have beta readers review a manuscript I ask a hundred questions to see what the reader thought about various points in the story... feedback is important. I am inspired when the reader talks like he/she was right there as an event in the story occurred... when that happens I know I hit the mark.

I have been influenced by some of the great writers of science fiction such as Orson Scott Card, Tolkien, Donaldson, and Frank Herbert to name a few. I have also enjoyed fantasy and horror stories/films such as "Michael" directed by Nora Ephron, "Constantine" directed by Francis Lawrence, The Omen directed by Richard Donner, and even the apocalyptic thriller called "The Seventh Sign" directed by Carl Schultz. I am a big fan of the underdog, the seemingly average person thrust into a situation where greatness is expected or required. Stories of good versus evil really appeal to me. There wasn't much Fantasy out there about Heaven and angels. I decided to fill what I thought was a void in a subject that I was very strongly drawn towards.
