I currently working on a young adult short story and an adult novel.

An idea usually just comes to me. I can be inspired by a real life event or person or I can just be thinking about something and I will think it is a good idea to write about. I can see someone walking down the street and create a story about where they are going and why. I am also inspired by day to day issues of life.

I wanted to write a book that would empower children, in particular girls. I wanted to write about how children have to deal with being viewed as different and how they can overcome any insecurities that might come from being viewed as different. I really wanted to celebrate diversity in all forms, from looks to individual talents. We are all uniquely made, whether it is how we look or the gifts that we have and whatever our uniqueness is should be celebrated and not stifled.
