B.E. Howard For one, I don't call it writer's block. I see it as an indicator that I need to get away from my computer, go out to experience life, and soak up some more inspiration.
B.E. Howard I think writers tend to be people with so many thoughts in their head that when one of those crazy ideas spill out, people look at us funny. Or maybe that's just me... Either way, being a writer lets you create some order around the chaos in your own head and it helps others understand why you are the way you are. That's a long-winded way of saying the art of self-expression is therapeutic.
B.E. Howard Write for the right reasons; because you enjoy it. There are so many ways to share your story these days, so don't get bogged down trying to squeeze your story into a category or a format. Write what comes to you as it comes and your story will show you what path to follow.
B.E. Howard I've always wanted The Gift to be a story the audience can take part in. I'm working on ideas that will allow fans of the story to create their own characters and stories through various forms of art and media. Figuring out the best way to do that is challenging, but our first attempt at this will be creating a mobile video game that everyone can play. What you do in the game will impact what happens to Shell in the second book.
B.E. Howard My 9 to 5 was my biggest motivator. Writing is my escape into a much more fun world. Now, my new son is my biggest inspiration to type deep into the night. Who wouldn't want a job they could do with their kid sitting next to them.
B.E. Howard A few videos and some inspirational friends sparked some 'what ifs.' What if all the mythologies were true? What if there was a connection between all of them? There are a few more questions that came to mind, but I don't want to give too much away.
