To the ones I have created. But I'd be in deep sh*t if my heroes discovered I'm the one responsible for their woes.

My life is too complicated to be used as a plot for a book. Readers would be screaming "OH COME ON!" and toss the book disgusted.

I can't say I have one except for the ones I write about. I'm not much of a romance fan.

Thank you very much! I also love it to bits, and it captures the theme and atmosphere of the book perfectly. The artist is the very talented Alexia Othonaiou, who is also a friend! She is a comic artist and an illustrator. This is her site: http://www.alexiaothonaiou.com/
She will create the cover for my new book too, so if you like her work, stay tuned!

N. Gaiman, H. P. Lovecraft, C. Barker, S. King, A. Rice, M. Moorcock. To be honest, I have no idea if their influence still manifests in my work and how. I went through a phase of infatuation with each of these writers, and I mimicked their content and in some cases, their style. But I feel I possess my own voice now. Maybe it would be fair to say they inspired me to do my best, because they all are excellent tellers of tales, each in his or her own unique way.

Ummm. Everything is difficult in a different way. Staying focused and getting the writing done is hard. Making the plot plausible is very hard. Editing is one of the most boring things you can do (learning excel/ accounting might be marginally worse). Killing characters is heart-rending. Getting the cats off the keyboard/ your lap/ back/ head can be a challenge. Not eating all the ice-cream and nutella in the world when creatively constipated is close to impossible. After these statements, one would have thought all writers are masochists, but that's not true. We're vicarious sadists feigning ignorance.

That's a hard question, because it depends on what you mean. Art, books, comics, movies, TV series and music are a source of inspiration, writing 'fuel' and hope. However, my raw material comes from observing human relationships and events in life. For me writing is an attemp to understand and re-create how life 'works', and see if there is any kind of balance, pattern or logic to it.

I am currently working on a SF novel and as a result I have put the second part of my vampire trilogy on hold. I expect to finish the SF novel soon, get it edited and published and return to the vampire trilogy immediately afterwards.
