I don't really understand what it is. I have a story to tell, and work on the story. Each scene throws up more opportunities and potential lines, so it is more a question of pruning.
I will go over a scene in my head several times, from several different viewpoints. Then I sit down and write it, and something completely different comes out!
On one occasion I did have an issue. I planed to write a lesbian scene, and found I couldn't do it. The very idea of interviewing young girls for the background filled me with horror, so I ended up changing the scene to a manner in which I could write it. I am always challenging myself with my writing, trying to see things from different viewpoints, so I am sure I will have this issue again.
