Carousel, my novella from Alban Lake, was inspired by multiple university orchestra rehearsals, where the auditorium was next to a clock tower situated in the campus's law school. The clock tower at noon started playing melodies during my sophomore year, and it would drive me nuts, especially since I couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from. The eerie but cheerful melodies, combined with writing in longhand at 7:30 AM most days when I got to campus, sparked a short story that then became a novella.

Currently I'm working on several short stories, one for a Game Fiction anthology and the other is for an online writer's salon, and ideally will revise a novel called Neo Mecca Mayhem later this summer, which is a science fiction romance set in the Japanese city of the future.
