Writer's block can be a tricky thing. I have found that it isn't always effective to deal with it the same way twice. At times I try to push forward and just bull my way through. The downside of this is it can lead to a lot of unusable writing. The other side of that is to just take a break and come back to it at a later time. In my case this can lead to procrastination and getting sidetracked with any number of my other interests. In the end establishing a routine can help prevent writer's block and honestly prevention is the key.

Right now I am currently working the kinks out of Through the Oak Tree Rift. As soon as it went live I saw there were some things I needed to correct. As far as writing goes, I have a couple irons in the fire but nothing that is ready to comment on at this time.

I have always enjoyed writing and stories in many forms. When I decided to sit down and write Through the Oak Tree Rift, it was out of necessity. I was unhappy in my current job and needed a way to wake up inspired everyday. As I fell in love with the world I was creating, the story itself drove me forward.

The idea for Through the Oak Tree Rift came about innocently enough. When my son was young I would tell him bedtime stories where he was the chief character. When I finally decided to try my hand at a novel, the progression from a spoken story to a written one seemed natural.
