Sam Thiara There are many projects at this time. There will be another book; however that is way down the road. For now, it is the promotion of the current book and building out other aspects of my life such as a speakers bureau, an organization to help guide high school/post secondary/young professionals in their future, teaching, and not for profit work...much on this plate!
Sam Thiara That there are people out there who appreciate your words and thoughts. You take an idea and through a process, it becomes a book. There was someone who said: "The world is full of dreamers, we need more doers". I am both a dreamer and a doer and that is how the book came to be and now I am a published author. You gain a certain credibility as an author.
Sam Thiara This is a difficult one to answer because I think everyone is different from each other. I think if you try and calm the mind or find some other avenue, then it might help. While it was a challenge to write the book on occasion, I would still blog and that helped to keep the embers burning while I got the focus to do the bigger writing.
Sam Thiara I did a TEDxSFU talk called: Discovering the Extraordinary in the Ordinary - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVNM5.... In this talk, I focus on how we live in the ordinary and everyday; however, imbedded in the ordinary are tremendously extraordinary experiences but we just have to be open to this.

The idea is that it does not have to be epic and life changing. It might be something that you observe or do that is a unique way to frame it. If it is important to you, then it is important and worth sharing.

You will see a jig saw puzzle piece on the cover and a single piece is ordinary but I take that, and make it extraordinary.
Sam Thiara I try not to force the writing. A single idea emerges in my mind then I have to write a blog post or something that is saved for later. It is OK to not have anything to write if the mind is not in the space. Look for inspiration in your daily interactions, people around you or things you observe.
Sam Thiara I found that when I tried to figure out what to write based on the audience out there, it was very difficult to write. I would think to myself, "is this what they want to hear?" I found that when I turned and wrote for what I wanted to say, it was easier to write.

My advise? Write for you and the audience will appear.
