I enjoy full length novels but for childrens book I keep them short.

Just walk away from the story/book for a day or a week even and then come back to it, because by then I have many things that I want to add.

I'm not well known yet, but one day I'm sure everyone will be reading things I write. The best thing is knowing that each day I wake up with a new idea to write down on paper- yes- I keep a spiral notebook with ideas in it.

Even though you may not think what you write will be good, just remember not to give up. I began some of my stories over 20 years ago- put them away and got them back out one day. I didn't give up just because I have one good eye to see with- the other has a cataract in it. So if I can write then I know many others can too.

Just finished "The Lilac Bush House". Currently I have several ideas for a new book-just not sure which one to move forward on.

I actually began writing penpal letters and including a short poem inside some of the letters. Then came up with more ideas- just kept adding to them.

My recent one which is called "The Lilac Bush House" I got after seeing a lovely lilac bush online. IT was huge and I thought of that bush devouring someone who picked its lovely flowers.
