J.L. Aarne I'm sorry, I don't currently have a website. Right now all I have is Tumblr and Twitter. You can find me on Twitter @jl_ aarne or here on Tumblr https://jlaarne.tumblr.com/

I'm not sure what other website gave you trouble but right now these are my only online places. I'm glad you enjoy Dale, hopefully he'll have more adventures soon. Hope this helps.
J.L. Aarne I'm sorry but not yet. I hope to start working on it in 2019 and the first book took me about a year to write--not including distractions of which there were many--which may give you some idea. All I can really say for sure is I want to begin it in 2019 so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it works out that way.
J.L. Aarne I am--tentatively, very tentatively--hoping to begin book 2 in 2019. I am a little anxious about it myself as I attempted it once already with very bad results. I'm hoping to have better success with a second attempt.
J.L. Aarne I'm very sorry that it didn't come out as planned in 2017. My personal life got complicated and I went through a period of writer's block for about 2 years. I can't promise I'll "fix" Dale but his story isn't over and I will write the fourth book. I'm working on something right now so I think the writer's block may have passed. No solid date for another Dale book yet but at a guess I'd say next year I hope.
J.L. Aarne I've gone back and forth with myself about posting something in regard to this for a while now. Mostly I figured no one cared that much I'm not famous or anything. The truth is I don't know anymore. After people liked the first one so much I tried to start the second book and I got less than 100 pages in before I realized it was all complete shit. I had tried to force myself to do it before I was really ready for all the wrong reasons. This led to a year of really horrible writer's block-- you know the kind big selling authors write stories about?--which I'm only now getting over. I'm going to write the next book because the story matters to me but I'm not going to force it again. I don't know when it will be out. I hope people who liked the first book in the series can be patient with me and wait for it but I know how short the attention spans of readers can be too. I'm also a reader.
J.L. Aarne Hannibal Lecter and Clarice Starling. Because it's sexy and it just makes so much sense.
J.L. Aarne Unfortunately my life has been pretty hectic the last 6 months and hasn't allowed me a lot of writing time. I'm currently working on something else, a stand alone novel. When that is finished I intend to begin writing the second Murder in the Dark book, which is called Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. It will, I hope, be out this year. I further hope it will be out sometime in the summer, but I can't promise an exact release date at this point.
J.L. Aarne I only beat them because I love them, heh. I do it for story's sake. I'm sorry if it's upset some people, but I have great plans for the series and in a lot of ways I felt that the characters as they were had become very limited and limiting for me as a writer. What happened in The Watcher's Son hopefully will open up a lot of real potential with the story as it moves forward. I'm working on something else at the moment and I have one book to finish that's been abandoned for a few months then I wanted to do the next book in a different series after that, THEN the next Dale book. But plans change for me all the time when it comes to what comes next, so we'll see. I hope to have the 4th one out next year though.
J.L. Aarne How is a bit difficult to pin down. Where though, now that usually happens in the bathroom. Which is weird.
J.L. Aarne By being a complete basket-case. I deal with it badly.
