(view spoiler)[Such a difficult question. Honestly, I'm going with the classic Elizabeth & Darcy. They had such a tumultuous beginning and were forced to overcome their perceptions of one another and personal pride in order to make their relationship happen. I think it's the loveliest of messes. But a close second is Wentworth and Anne from Persuasion. The tale of love lost and found years later is one of my favorites. They had changed so much in their separation but still couldn't shake their adoration of one another. Beautiful!! (hide spoiler)]

Honestly, I don't really "decide" where to base my stories so much as my stories tell me where they want to be based. My characters have so much personality that it's easy to place them where they belong just based off of who they are. BUT... I did have to use a few locations in my trilogy based off of the historical happenings that took place during my stories. Great question!

I knew I wanted to write a series for adult readers, but I just love the supernatural so much, that I wanted to incorporate that somehow. So I landed on a family of immortals! I pretty much just wanted to write the kind of book that I would want to pick up and read for myself.

I haven't! But it looks thrilling!

I'm currently working on a compilation of short stories about eight people's dysfunctional lives. It's going to be a real tear-jerker ... in fact, every time I work on it, I cry!!

Just write. Everyone has a story to tell, and it's a simple matter of making the time to sit down and get it on paper. If you're having a hard time decided where to start, just make a basic outline of where you want the story to go. Write character bios for each of your characters. Once you know where you want your direction to head and how the characters will behave, the story will practically write itself!

I just love the creative outlet writing gives me. I'm a photographer, so the arts and crafts side of me is always satisfied. But my literary creativity is another side of my life that I need to express. I can write out my frustration, excitement, sadness, and joy. Having the outlet has made me a much happier person in general.

I usually talk things over with my husband. It's probably cheating, but if I'm running into a wall over and over again, I have him read what I've written and give me his recommendations for how to proceed. When he gives me two or three suggestions, I can always find one that I like to get back on track!
