(view spoiler)[I received an ARC of Beneath the Cape, and I wondering if there are any plans on finishing the short story you co-wrote? I am really interested in what happens next. (hide spoiler)]

Hi, Marie!
Yes, absolutely! Angela and I will be releasing the full-length version of Gypsy Love late in the year, early next year. We're so excited to tell the rest of that story, and thanks so much for your interest!

So many things, but I guess the best thing about being a writer is having the opportunity to write the stories playing in my head and share them with others.

For Tainted Energy, my oldest daughter inspired me. Her way of looking at the universe is unique and beautiful, and I wanted to expand on her beliefs. I don't wait for inspiration. To me, writing is a job, and with every job, you have to put in the time. My goal is a thousand words a day. I don't get up until those words are on the page. If I go over, great, but I make sure to meet my quota.

Read anything and everything—you can't write if you don't read. When you're not reading, write. Write every single day until what shows up on the screen is something you feel great about. After that? Keep writing.

I'm one of those people who don't believe in writer's block. If I'm not feeling the scene, I write. If I can't figure out what happens next, I write. What I write might be crap, but that's what revision is for.
