Tash McAdam I always struggle to answer this question, because I'm not sure that 'write' is what I'm inspired to do. I'm inspired to tell stories, and the best way to do this to more than my immediate surroundings, is to write them down. I've always been a storyteller, storycritic, storyconsumer sort of guy, so starting to put my ideas into the world kind of seemed like the right next step. Plus, my gf dared me to write a book and I basically haven't stopped coming up with new ideas since then. What inspires me can be as simple as a wild train of thought ('what if this shower just.. filled up with water and I drowned' launched the Psionics) or a cool sweater wearing person on the bus. My brain loves making up stories.

I have FOURTEEN TBW (to be written) novel plans that I add to regularly!
Tash McAdam I am writing a new YA SF that is set in a terminator style robot apocalypse, where six kids who have been bred for one purpose-to fight robots-have to complete a quest to save the world.

I'm also working on the sequel to Light in the Blood (Warp Weavers book 1), which follows one of the minor characters from LitB as the imminent end of days rolls nearer.

Plus a story for Brave New Girls #3! Which is about a teen Mech pilot learning the power of friendship.

Also I have five books coming out in the next year soooo that's taking up some time and energy as well!

No, I'm not busy, why do you ask? :D
Tash McAdam Write. The only way to learn to write is to write. Reread what you've written. Read other things and think about why you love them / like them / hate them. Go on adventures, seek inspiration, and write about it. Write every day, even when you don't want to, write, and you will figure out who you are as a writer.
Tash McAdam I am INVENTING PEOPLE AND WORLDS, like a whole universe or fourteen that my brain has given birth to and other people enjoy and want to talk to me about? I cannot get over the fact that people care about my brain babies as much as they do. I have fans from all over the world who message me, and reach out to tell me my book connected with them in some way. It is a miracle, every single time.
Tash McAdam Wine? Ha, only partially true. I find that writer's block (for me) is usually about being distracted/ a procrastinator than about the writing itself. So usually, my answer is to take a break, get my life or whatever's stressing me out in order, and then get back to it with a fresh brain.
Tash McAdam Hi there, sorry I took so long to reply. I didn't even know there were questions here!
I paint with acrylic, usually on wood or metal instead of canvas. I like to paint people, but they always end up surrealist, either melting, or exploding into pieces of mirror (I like sticking things to my work as well)
How about you?
Tash McAdam You certainly may, if you didn't already.
my recommended book would be The Black Prism by Brent Weeks! Thanks.
Tash McAdam Hi, Steven! Sorry I took so long to reply to this, for some reason goodreads was set not to tell me about new questions. I hope that you've managed to find it now, but if not I'd love to email you a free copy to make up for the time you've been waiting! Or, you can check me out on amazon at bit.ly/buyslam or my website holds links to most major eretailers www.tashmcadam.com
Cheers!
Tash
