Michelle R. Weise I don't ever think that what I put down on the page is golden. I've always had to revise, revise, revise to make anything worth reading. What this does is it lifts a lot of pressure off of me during the initial phases of writing because I know that sometimes, after writing extensively, the only thing worth keeping might be the last paragraph. And that's okay. I learned that lesson a long time ago when one of my favorite literature professors read through a 10-page paper of mine. When he reached the final paragraph, he tapped the page with his pen, and exclaimed, "Now this is interesting!"

How do you get inspired to write?

Michelle R. Weise I actually try to stop writing when I'm on a roll, so that it's much easier to pick up the following day. It makes it so that I don't have to necessarily feel inspired in order to start up again.
