Sheldon K. Bass If Sheriff Matt Dillon were to come by, he might think I'm a cattle rustler, because I have so many irons in the fire. I have four book projects going. However, right now my next book is a toss-up between a collection of short stories, to which I add regularly, and my spiritual odyssey, "Discovering the Heart of God". There is also a sequel to "Meet Him on the Mountain" coming, which delves much deeper into spiritual truth, taking us up to the next highest peak on the journey home.
Sheldon K. Bass When I get writer's block the first thing I do is stand on my head to get more blood to my brain. Okay, not really. There's probably as many remedies for writer's block as there are writer's. A few that work for me are: Reading another author's work who inspires me, spend some time out in God's beautiful outdoors, especially the untamed regions, and taking a day to just go out and meet new people.
Sheldon K. Bass Setting my own hours is a nice perk! Having the ability to inspire, encourage and instruct through story telling benefits not only the reader, but the writer as well—deep ideas and feelings can be shared to connect hearts and minds and explore ideas!
Sheldon K. Bass The advice that always helped me was to never give up: You are never a failure until you decide to throw in the towel, and to believe in yourself and in the mighty things God can accomplish through you!
Sheldon K. Bass Ideas are everywhere but they mostly come from the wonderful people I meet. God's given me a passion for people of all cultures. As I spoke with several new friends, the need for an easy to understand book on how to grow in faith and obedience to God and draw close to Him became abundantly evident. Thirty-five years ago, I needed to read this book myself, but now I've written it, using those years of experiences in walking with Jesus. Praise God!
