Jes Drew I'm not sure there was ever a specific time I didn't see myself as a writer after I started writing The Time I Saved the Day. But sometimes, when I think back to all that I have written, it does hit me that, wow, I really am a writer.
Jes Drew Marvel. I would find Captain America and figure out something less creepy to do then declare my undying love to him at our first meeting.
Jes Drew Rom-Coms! Especially by Janette Rallison, Kasey West, and Victoria Lieske.
Jes Drew I started off as a Goodreads author, so I'm not completely sure what the process is to transition from a reader to an author. I think you may have to open another account, but you should talk to a librarian to find out for sure.
Jes Drew At the present moment, all my published works are written in the first person except for the occasional third person POV to give a glimpse into the villains' plots or give a wider range to a conspiracy. I prefer reading and writing first person because I like seeing other people's thought processes.
Jes Drew My advice is 1 Timothy 4:12- Let no one despise you for your youth, but set believers every an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Also, keep your imagination ready at all times, read and analyze what you read, and don't be afraid to write what you want even if it breaks the mold. God gave you your quirks for a reason.

Little by little I'll get back into it. And if it's because I've been working on it too much, it's time to do something active.
Jes Drew The best thing about being a writer is everything. I can barely remember not thinking like an author. Not hearing music and trying to fit it to a scene in one of my stories... But my favoritest thing, I think, is trying to find theme songs for each of my protagonists.
Jes Drew My advice for aspiring writers would be to never. Give. Up. Ever.
Also, to let your story take you wherever your imagination will let you- make a story that is unique and comprehensive to its potential.
Jes Drew I usually work on several different books at once, but my main project right now is editing Kristian Clark's sequel.
Jes Drew I was inspired to write when I was fourteen and watched Marvel's Avengers for the first time. The story was just so incredible to me, and the concept of superheroes was, well, marvelous. So I created my own superheroes and wrote the Ninja and Hunter series. Since then, I haven't run out of ideas yet.
Jes Drew Kristian Clark wasn't so much one idea, as a conglomerate of many. For one thing, I wanted to break out of my usual young adult genre and write from someone other than a teenage girl protagonist's view. I also wanted to explore different worldviews since I was taking philosophy that year, and I wanted to show in story form how they compared/contrasted to Christianity- a bit of a battleground of philosophies in story form. And I always like to write about spies, so...
