Tony Dingwell As a baby, I was adopted without knowing my birth parents. Living in the same place where I was born is a slightly younger man that looks very much like me. Could he be my brother? If so, does he know that he has a brother who he never knew?
Tony Dingwell Growing up, I was always interested in business. I would spend hours doing business plans and playing business games. It was only natural for me to go to University and study business.

I started writing Oliver Dingle-Mouse: Business-Mouse, before my son entered school. My intention was to have this book completed by the time he was ready to read chapter books.

I centred the book on business concepts, because there are not many book out there about child who set up their own business despite many that do. From lemonade stands to paper routes, children like to play business. I knew that a story about business would be challenging for a child, so I included a number of humorous parts including a few for them to discover as they became older and ready the book again. I also added a few private jokes just for my son.

While I tried to explain many business concepts in terms that a child would understand, I left in some big words and references to classical music to encourage them to use dictionaries, encyclopaedias and the public library.

Did it Work? Well, at the age of 12, his son beat out high school and college students, to be recognized as the Entrepreneur of the Year for his business that sold caskets for pets.
