Elizabeth SaFleur Hi - Thanks for your question. After a few years, authors often change covers of their books to keep things fresh. But the stories are the same! Nothing changed on the inside -- and I hope you love what you're reading.
Elizabeth SaFleur Thank you for asking, Goodreads. True story about to unfold here.

When I was a teenager, the local playhouse lured me to a brief and unremarkable acting career. From about the age 16 to 18, I acted in several plays, including playing the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. (Picture a bright purple jumpsuit and tons of greasepaint make-up. Suuper fun.)

Anyway, one night, we were at an endless rehearsal that was stretching into the wee hours of the night. I was asked to go downstairs to the basement (i.e. the "prop room" to get something). Being the dutiful team player, I headed down. Couldn't find it but saw a black curtain hiding what was clearly a room.

I parted it, stepped inside to find a man with slat and pepper hair at a table saw producing what looked like some furniture piece. He looked at me and said, "you're in the wrong place" and promptly led me away, back through the curtain before I could even answer him. (He had a limp. That part I recall.)

I then saw the "thing" (who could remember?) I was to retrieve and headed back upstairs. I asked a few people who the man in the basement was and they merely blinked at me, like "who?"

After rehearsal I asked a fellow actor about the workshop downstairs. He was like, "what workshop?" We went back down there and guess what?
No black curtain.
No extra room.
Just cinderblock walls everywhere.

No one believed me when I told them I had been in another room down there with a silver-haired man. To this day, I don't know WHAT that was.

Oh, and I was stone cold sober, because 17. (I was a goody-two-shoes back then.)
Elizabeth SaFleur So many! I'm going to plow through Anne Calhoun's back list, now that I'm 1/3 of the way through The List. I have yet to read Joey W. Hill's vampire queen series, and I'm seeking some good M/M erotic romances. Any suggestions?
Elizabeth SaFleur I only get to pick ONE? Wow - what a taskmaster. Hmmmm...I really love Ben and Marcie from Hostile Takeover by Joey W. Hill because not only do they *want* each other, they *need* each other. I can't say more without spoiling their journey for you. Recently I became acquainted with CD Reiss's Marriage Games. So I'm going to add Adam and Diana to this list. Oh, and then there's Beth and Wrath in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward. See? I can't just name one. I could go on and on....

Elizabeth SaFleur I am working on the second book of the Elite Doms of Washington series, Untouchable. The first book, Lovely, in its final stages before being published in January 2015. The third and fourth book of the series are also being developed.
Elizabeth SaFleur If you are a brand new writer (and I probably fall into that category, too), try everything, slowly. Work on your craft, look for the best process for you, start building your author platform, get to know other writers, watch and lurk around Goodreads and Twitter to see how other writers are working, marketing themselves, and living their lives.

But - and this is very important - do NOT compare yourself to other writers. Learn from them, but carve your own path.

Also, finish the book! You can't be a writer if you aren't writing, and you can't publish a book until it's complete.
Elizabeth SaFleur The best thing about being a writer is that you get to create your own reality, bring new people to life, and pretty much be a "master of your universe" for a while. (I try not to let it go to my head. Ha!)
Elizabeth SaFleur I don't experience writer's block as much as wrestling with which way to go in a story. I have too many ideas, all of which want my undivided attention! But, on the rare occasion that I experience a complete blank slate, all I have to do is get in the car and start driving or go to gym. All that mindless activity becomes meditative, which then allows the gears to start working in my brain again.
