Right now my whole life is a mystery, so I'm not sure any of it would be a plot for a book...although I probably would subtly include close friends as characters/names.

I have to admit that I don't read a lot of fiction. Lately, I've been reading more biographies etc. But the last fiction book I read was called 'When It Rains' by Lisa De Jong and I absolutely loved the characters in that book, and the couple in that book really inspired and touched me. It's a beautifully written book that I'd highly recommend.

To be perfectly honest, 'You. Are. Not. Alone.' was not even a speck in my mind seven months ago.
I got the idea to write the anthology, when I read somebody else's poetry book, and I felt that I could produce something of (I hope) resonable quality that I would be proud of for years to come. Through most of the poems in the book, I tell bits and pieces of my life, my story and the emotions that came along with it. I wanted to create an anthology that somebody could relate to, no matter what their situation was, and feel that they weren't alone to go through it, which is something that I felt tremendously.
Of course, as most books go, the finished product was quite different to how I envisioned it originally (let's not even discuss the number of title changes I made!) but I was still writing material for it, waaay after the Kindle version was released! Ultimately however, even if this book is the only one I ever release, I will always proudly point it out to people and let them know that this is my work.

I guess it happened way back in 2007/8, when I first began to write. It was a song ('Afraid'), and the lyrics were bouncing round my head until I finally wrote them down. On second thoughts, I've always wanted to write, having begun writing a few fantasy stories that I really believed in (and my revisit for my next few books!) back in primary school, but never really finished or the inspiration flew out the window. I've got the outlines of another book (chapter by chapter) ready and waiting for me to complete and start writing. So, what inspires me to write? Whatever is happening in the moment would be my best answer!

My next three books! All anthologies.

Keep writing and keep all your drafts, whether it be on handwritten notes or electronic notes on whatever device you use. Everything. And date everything as well! If need be, write in notebooks.
Personally, I prefer to write all my notes by hand. You can't get back what you've deleted, but you can somewhat read something you've crossed out!

It allows me to be creative and allows me to express what I feel/think.

By taking some time away from writing, and not think about the problem. Then go back and re-read and see what I can come up with.
