S.B. Norton Why the letter 'A' on each keyboard I use fades the quickest from use. Why is that? I'm sure there is an epic story in that. Anyone out there that wants to write it, please feel free!
S.B. Norton Phillip Reeves world of Mortal Engines.
Traction Cities are cool. The 60 Minute war. Municipal Darwinism. So many cool things! I would go round collecting 'Old Tech'! Walk in the big-ass dirt tracks that the wheels of mighty London leaves in the earth. The past is the future! Its all just so excellent! Who wouldn't want to go there and ride on a moving city! Bloody obvious isn't it!
S.B. Norton She was the Hollow Ghost from Windswept, she embodied disease. With one gusty blow from her existential maw, she sent death and plague, and an entire town ceased to exist.

the end
S.B. Norton The Chronicles of Light and Shadow Trilogy by Liesel Schwarz.
Flickers by Arthur Slade.
Seriously, if get through those books I'll be flying! Terribly slow reader.
S.B. Norton Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer in Footloose. Wren and Lorilei. My favourite film ever! He was tough, she was tough and broken. He had cool moves and good hair. She was the preachers daughter and hated it.
I'm actually due another viewing ... always an annual thing for me. Legendary.
S.B. Norton It can be anything. Completely random events or things. Saw a light bulb shatter and catch on fire the other day - just out of the blue! That could start a story for me no problem - think of where that could go, endless. Let your mind wander - lots of fun.
S.B. Norton Writing the 3rd book in The Otherworldly Operative series. (Will publish the 2nd book "Southern Vexations" soon - watch this space!) Also working on a brand new book that I am really excited about, still dark and nasty - that's the way I write em'! Lots of writing to come.
S.B. Norton Do not give up. The easiest thing to do in the world is to throw in the towel, but your story will never be told. Believe in your story and don't be afraid to show it to people. Be brave and go forth and conquer!
S.B. Norton Completely losing yourself in the world you've created - absolute pure escapism. And you know, it really is the cheapest hobby in the world - you and a keyboard and a bunch of ideas - cool!
S.B. Norton You just have push through it I find ... generally I have to force myself to have a night off! Another thing, if you are writing something and it isn't flowing at all, best jump off the train for awhile and think of something else, watch some TV or go ten pin bowling, walk the dog, watch a horror movie etc... clear your head - but don't give up! Never give up!
S.B. Norton A lot of the inspiration for "Flames from the North"came from my home town of Mornington in Victoria, Australia. What if a corridor to another world opened in your town? What would it bring, more, who would it bring ... in this case warlocks and witches hungry to steal humans! The fact that only a chosen few unlucky people could see these miscreants just made the idea more enticing!
