Don't look back until you reach the finish line. Too many of my works died from persistent editing of the earlier chapters and no new material being added. Just keep plodding forward, one word after the other, until it's finished. And a muse/someone to read along with you as you write is a great motivator to ensure you keep being bugged into writing the next chapter sooner.

The simple answer is I don't get it. I'm either motivated to write, or I'm not. I don't consider it a block when I'm not motivated to write, as we all have times when we simply don't want to do "something"; even when it's something we enjoy.
