Cheryl Taylor I'm following my heart, so it feels incredibly good. Writing for me is like coming home after a long journey, and slipping into my bed for the first time in months. It feels natural. I want for nothing when I'm writing.

Cheryl Taylor I tend to take a day, a weekend or a week or two away from my writing. I will do something fun for part of the time, and then something on the business side of writing.

Cheryl Taylor In the beginning I would write when I was experiencing personal pain or difficulty. It was a way of processing things for me.

Now writing is like breathing for me. I have to do it, at least a good twenty days out of every month.
Cheryl Taylor My most recent book is a book of poetry, "Runs Through My Mind." The ideas for poetry come to me naturally, just before I awake fully, each morning.
