Kwen D. Griffeth The hall was old, dark, and carried the odor of mold. The door was closed, and I knew I shouldn't open it, but I did.
Kwen D. Griffeth If you had asked me that question when I was eighteen, I would have answered Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. (The movie had just come out). There are several great couples, but my favorite is Lt and Anne Wentworth from Jane Austin's "Persuasion."

The couple faces challenges not unlike what many of us face. The love they feel for each other and the obligation to follow counsel from family members. Throw in a little class bigotry and the story is repeated several times over. How many young ladies hear, from parents or well-meaning friends that the man they are in love with just isn't good enough for them. As the father of three daughters, I gave such advice freely and often. All three ignored me, were not persuaded otherwise, and to date, have great husbands.

Thank you for your question. Who is yours?
Kwen D. Griffeth I spent several years as a police officer either in the military or civilian departments. I enjoy writing about the conflicts we humans find ourselves in.
Kwen D. Griffeth Hemingway said, "Once a person becomes addicted to writing only death itself can save them." That is my inspiration.
Kwen D. Griffeth I am working on book two in the Nate and Clare series. (The Tenth Nail series) I plan to call it Street Gangs.
Kwen D. Griffeth I defer to Winston Churchill, who advised a class of college graduates:

"Never, never, never quit."
Kwen D. Griffeth I enjoy the process of creating something from nothing. I look at paintings which at one time was nothing more than a blank canvas. I look at statues which were nothing more than a block of stone and I marvel at the ability. I see writing in the same venue.
Kwen D. Griffeth I think writer's block is a symptom of the author putting to much pressure on. I try to back away from the project, (mentally) and allow my characters to help me out. I'm surprised how much smarter they are than me.
