As a kid, I always wanted to be in the world of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Nowadays, I think I'd be most interested in living in a world where being LGBT+ isn't "different" at all. Can anyone give me any book recs for that? LOL

My TBR list gets longer every year, but the books I'm most looking forward to reading are Jenny Lawson's Broken: In The Best Way Possible, Paul Tremblay's Survivor Song, and as many of the Supernatural book adaptations as I can get my hands on.

The book I'm working on right now, Cluster B, is the sequel to my first novel, Maladaptation. It follows the detective, Harry Thresher, as she investigates the disappearances of several local kids. I got the idea from a story I started writing a few years ago during NaNoWriMo. Not a lot of the original material transferred over, but a few of the more memorable characters did.

Writer's block is a slippery slope. If I catch it in time, I can cajole it away with a few prompts and challenges. If not, I usually end up editing a project for a while, catching up on my reading, and watching too much true crime television. Then, one day, the little devil is back on my shoulder, whispering into my ear and nudging me toward my word processor.

Right now, I'm working on MALADAPTATION, a novel about two women who fall in love on the run and leave a trail of bodies in their wake. It's a tragic love story and thriller all wrapped into one bloody package.
