I believe writers should write what is most important AT THAT MOMENT. If I occasionally get stuck, it's often because something else is pressing on my mind. When I take a few minutes to write about whatever is monopolizing my thoughts, it frees me to get past the writer's block.

Never expect anyone to believe in you more than you believe in yourself. If you have the smallest niggling that you have a story to tell, don't ignore it. Trust your instinct and write.
