Sky Stone was inspired by music, Kelly Clarkson's 'Breakaway' to be exact. I remembering daydreaming to the song and a movie running through my head. Every time I listened to Breakaway the story would become more elaborate until one day I decided that I would write it down or risk losing this story forever.
The story has changed a fair deal from what the original daydream but I don't think it changed in a bad way.
Guardian Core was a dream. Even after I had finished Sky Stone I continued to imagine more adventures for Skyla.

Write what you want to write in your heart. Don't worry about whether your book will fit a market or whether the readers will like it. Write the book that 'you' want to write. Make 'your' dreams come to life.

I am currently writing the third book of the Sky Stone series which is called Magic Spawn.
I also have an idea for a stand alone novel which will be separate from the Sky Stone series and I have written an outline for this. I may start writing the manuscript after I am finished with Magic Spawn.
