To be honest, my husband came up with the idea for the technology when he was just a boy. Then I came along in university and he shared it with me by writing about seventeen pages about a team of four people in a futuristic sport. Just from those pages, I was hooked. From there, my mind flew to the possibilities of where the technology would take society and our Western culture. My husband let my imagination go, above and beyond anything he ever imagined. So really, this is an idea created by two people. He came up with the technology, I came up with the consequences on society. And the romance. If he had it his way, it would have been all about the animals and the sport.

This is easy: I keep writing. I don't believe in writer's block. All it's ever been for me is an uncertainty of how to best portray a specific scene. If I can't figure it out at first, I skip ahead and write something completely different. Even if it's a scene from an entirely different book, at least I'm still writing. That's all that matters.

Currently I'm working on editing the second part of the series, 'Chasing the Underground' which I hope to release next year. Come November, I'm planning on finishing the third installment.
