Schizoaffective disorder effects one out of every 100 people. There isn't much published about this illness. It is painful for not just the person dealing with it daily but also for those who love them and must watch them suffer. For me, poetry has always had a special way of conveying emotions. I hope that by sharing poetry that is drenched with the sufferings of a person with schizoaffective, that people will have a more profound understanding of mental illness and how to love someone who must deal with the darkness and spiritual ambiguity.
