W. Len Growing up, I read a lot of books by British authors. Writers like P.G. Wodehouse, David Lodge, Jane Austen are some of my favorites. While researching House of Secrets, I also read history books and journals specific to the W.W.2 era to get a better feel of life back then.

I had a specific voice in mind when I created Robin, the main character. I wanted someone charming, a little pompous, yet very self-conscious because of his secret life. I'm glad you enjoyed the book.
W. Len I've always been fascinated by the Enigma code and the code-breakers who cracked it during WW2. After I dug into the history behind Bletchley Park, where the code-breakers were based, I knew I wanted to write a story set there. That's how House of Secrets came about, although it turned out to be a lot more difficult than I thought.

First, I had to learn about cryptography, in order to make it accessible to my readers.

Second, it's a work of fiction. To me, the most difficult code to break is that of one's heart. That's why I decided to create a love story tying in the code-breaking to the personal secrets of the characters.

Gradually, everything came together. I'm glad it worked out.
