Well, I actually started it as a small fantasy series quite some time ago. I finished the first book in the series (which is now shelved as print in my closet for a later time) and thought about what it might be like to bring the story to more modern times. At that point I was writing a side story about time travel and loved the characters I created. I asked my self "what would they do in the situation of the other story" and played around with it. Ten-thousand words later, the time travel project was sidelined and the characters taken for this project.

I let it be. Focusing on writer's block can often make it worse for me, so I find something else to occupy my time. I am never afraid to take the day off in terms of writing. In simpler terms, I just let go for a little bit and try not to dwell.
