The book Desert Storm Air War actually began as an idea for a magazine article. I wanted to do a feature story that would tie into the Gulf War's 25th anniversary. After just a few weeks of research, I realized I'd stumbled upon an incredible topic with enough great stories to fill a book. Desert Storm was a game-changer for military aviation, yet today it is largely forgotten. I wanted to do something about that.
