I deal with writer's block by taking a break from writing for a while. I keep thinking about the story but I stop writing and busy myself with something that I enjoy like working in my flower gardens. Eventually I just know that I'm ready to get back to writing. It works for me.

My inspiration for a story comes from prayer. It's as simple as that for me. I pray for an idea that will touch my heart and it comes to me.

To anyone who is thinking of a writing career, don't give up. I can't claim to be a resounding success but I can claim that I have written a book and am working on another one. That's a big deal to me. I didn't think that I would be able to do it, but I did. So just sit down and do it. If it doesn't sound like much to you as you're writing it that's alright, just don't quit. Adding the finishing touches will come later and with each work that you finish your writing will improve.

I'm working on my second novel called Until Tomorrow. It is a contemporary romance with a mystical undertone to it, at least I think so. I like to add a bit of a feeling that a higher power is at work in our lives to my writing. I did that with Crazy Courage too but in a more subtle way. In Until Tomorrow that feeling is a little more obvious.

To me the best thing about being a writer is the sense of accomplishment that it gives me. Sometimes I have an idea in my head but can't seem to find the right words to be able to write that idea down on paper. Once those words finally come to me and they flow onto the paper it's such a fulfilling feeling. I also like knowing that some people are enjoying reading those ideas and stories.
