Ben Abix Hi Timothy,
It certainly wasn't planned for both to be released at the same time. However, Tropical Trauma hadn't been fully edited at that time while Framer had already been started. Therefore, once Framer was going, there was no stopping until it was finished and then both were edited one after the other.
Ben Abix I don't usually get writers block that often....thankfully. I won't write anything unless I'm feelin' it beforehand. I'm emotionally motivated; so if the feelings aren't driving the words out, I'm not down with the program until they are.
Ben Abix Entertaining someone! It's an intimate relationship that you're having with the reader; your words and them internalizing those thoughts, perceptions. If I'm capable of enveloping you with words, taking your eyes hand and walking that long walk with you, all of the work and energy that was put into it was then well worth it.
Ben Abix Keep working on your abilities! There are so many other writers, but only you can write that unique way God intended for you. I know that's deep, but I believe it's totally true; no one can write like you period!
Ben Abix Promotion. I want everyone to feel what I felt when writing both Framer and Tropical Trauma; the intensity, the laughs, the friendships, the romance, the revenge, the violence, and ultimately the love and intent of the characters.
Ben Abix The outline that I create and conjure up beforehand starts to fuel the motivation. I can literally see the scenes unfolding inside my minds eye, the people talking, the events taking place, and the overall direction the novel is to take. Moreover, music inspires me in a big way! I utilize a playlist called 'daddy's playlist' on my youtube account and place noise cancelling headphones on as I write. Occasionally I mix up the tunes and add new ones, but like to keep a powerful set of songs as I write; helping to keep a rhythm flowing effortlessly as I work the keyboard keys.
It's truly amazing how much energy one can draw from such a beautiful media format.
Ben Abix It was inspired by myself knowing that the readers out here need balance. What I mean by that is all of the fabulous aspects that make a great book great, allow for a diverse set of characteristics within characters, environments, dialogue, relationships, and ultimately, the main characters intent.
In addition, it was conceived out of all of the missing children every year that are forgotten or set aside by society. That concept, in and of itself, kills me every time I think of it; and the youth that are subjected to abduction and trafficking are as unique and as special as any.
