Hi Mary, How are you? Seems quite a while since our authors's Camino evening at Travelling Through! Still nice memories.
Thanks for Camino book recommendation, I'll check it out. As for book recommendations, I'm currently reading Vagabonding by Rolf Potts - which is an easy read and really reminds you of the differences between being a tourist and a traveller - i.e. avoiding unnecessary baggage and making the most of your travel experiences. I believe Travelling Through has a copy.

I've a number of ideas that I'm currently toiling/making sense of. However, my main focus at the moment is the soon to be published paperback edition of my novella: Candyfloss Guitar. I've just approved the cover with the designer - very excited!!

My writing comes from experience. I'm not fortunate to be one of those writers who conjures up amazing worlds and characters from the inner depths of their mind. I find by just getting out there and meeting new people, discovering new places and living new experiences, story ideas come to me. Hence why I'm a big fan of travel - it not only refreshes my soul but gives me inspiration to portray the world as I see it through story.

I walked the Camino de Santiago in the summer of 2012 and like on all great pilgrimages: tales, inspiration, life and community take place along the road to Santiago de Compostela. Stories and ideas blossomed like the fauna around me. With every step a new page formed in my head and by the end of the journey Candyfloss Guitar, my debut novella, was demanding to be written.
