Dylan Perry Write. Choose a project and write. Start with a small story or start with an epic five volume novel, and write. Whatever you want to write, just write it. Once you start writing everything else can be learnt and improved as you go along.

Dylan Perry I get to do a second job on top of my main job, and I'm not even guaranteed a minimum hourly rate! No, it's more about getting ideas together, creating worlds, inhabitants and stories. It's like playtime for adults.
Dylan Perry Mostly promoting my first novel, Gods Just Want To Have Fun. I am also just starting to throw ideas together for my next novel. I'm looking at characters and how they may interact with each other. The bare bones of plot ideas are starting to form from that.
Dylan Perry I write. Then rewrite. Even if it is barely readable nonsense there are two things you can guarantee. First, it is better quality than George Bush Junior could manage when he was running the free world (note to Americans - everyone else just smiled or acknowledged the sarcasm). Secondly, you can beat even random words on a page into submission to give you a start of an idea or at least a direction. Blank pages stare back into you, stealing your soul. Or not.
