Book ideas come from all over. I was going through my old laptop the other day and came across quite a few notes, lists and songs I had typed up years ago. I even found the first eight chapters of a historical I was working on. I think, and this is probably true for most authors, you never really know when an idea is going to hit. You just need to be ready to write it down when it does.

For now, there will only be three full length novels in Shattered Souls. Shattered Lies is shaping up to be read as a standalone, so I'm leaning towards "yes" as an answer to your question. Mended Dreams is a companion novella though, so you would have to read Shattered Dreams to really understand the impact of that one.
