K.L. Stockton In 2013 I was made redundant, whilst looking for another job I did a lot of reading. I read three books one after another which I was not impressed with. I actually thought "I can do better than that", a few weeks later I woke up remembering a dream, it stayed with me for three days (very unusual for me as I rarely remember dreams) anyway the 'dream' in my imagination progressed and various scenes developed, so much so it started to give me brain ache (not a headache) with everything bouncing around, I picked up a pen and started to write what was in my head, five note books later, and the story was not finished, I decided to type up what I had written. It was then that I realised I had a novel on my hands.

K.L. Stockton I have just finished writing the sequel to Awakened by You. It's currently being edited and will be published at some point over the next few months (date yet to be set). I am also three quarters of the way through writing the final instalment of the story, hopefully the third book will be published at the end of this year.
K.L. Stockton As a creative person it's another way for me to get lost in my imagination. There's a world I've created that is pure fantasy and I can step into it any time I want and live it through my characters.
K.L. Stockton I will leave the story alone and go and do an activity that allows me to let my mind wander - I make jewellery and paint or I'll go for walk. I have a very vivid imagination so I let things play out in my head, often I go to bed and end up dreaming about it and a solution usually pops in to my head. Sometimes it takes reading book or watching a film that provides the solution, it could be one word or a phrase that jumps out at me and it triggers my imagination.
