Angela T. Jones I saw several posts on social media from black business owners venting about blacks not supporting their businesses. This is a common issue. But what I wasn't seeing was honest, transparent dialogue from people (business owners and consumers) about WHY it is happening. I wanted to write something that would take the conversation offline and make it something that would make both black business owners and consumers think and hopefully bridge the two closer together.
Angela T. Jones After "Breaking Through the Black Ceiling", I have three more books being released. All are different and one is based on a true story, so it may be the last released because life has to play out for the book to be completed. But two of those books are works of fiction. I also have my Super Guides to Great Media Interviews series that has two installments forthcoming in the three guide series.
Angela T. Jones I refocus by doing something I enjoy, like watching movies or television. At some point the ideas start flowing again because I've allowed my brain a moment to stop focusing on just writing.
Angela T. Jones Write what you know. Don't pretend to be someone/something you're not. Spell and grammar check your work.
Angela T. Jones I'm actually inspired to write by living. I observe my life and my surroundings and they become my inspiration.
