Carly Wakefield Keep writing. Its as simple (insert raised eyebrow) as that. Writing is not a simple thing, for me it is at times an obsessive thing, it could take over my life if I let it. But the best piece of advise is if you feel it, write it. And never give up.
Carly Wakefield I currently have six WIP's (works in progress) I am working on book three in my Rhodes family series. The two main characters in this are quite different to what I have written before and I'm finding it wonderfully challenging to embrace their personalities and get them down on paper, well on the screen in front of me lol.
After that, there will be three more in this series and two stand alones I am working on, all of which I am very excited about.
Carly Wakefield I think the best thing about being a writer is having your story touch a reader enough that they want to leave a lovely review, or seek you out and send you a nice message:)
I love hearing from my readers.
Carly Wakefield Sometimes I can power through, it's not severe if I can do this. If it is a severe case I tend to move away from my work for a while, go spend time with my family, play with my kids, read a book, etc and hope that something will trigger my thought process.
Carly Wakefield Inspiration can literally hit me from anywhere, from a feeling I get when I look at something as random as the sky, to something one of my kids says to me. My brain works in a mysterious way sometimes and anything and everything can trigger it
