It was really several ideas and not all at once! Rather than the actual story the ideas came from the characters and it built up from there, I really tried to create characters that would spark off against each other that would then enhance the story.

Well I'm currently working on a short story collection that follows Underground Murmurs and fills in the gaps before the next novel in the series, Rogue Retrieval. The short stories cover some of the lesser characters but the main ones are there too!

I have to visualise what I'm going to write and almost play it out as a scene from a film. When I write that scene I almost play it out several times to tweak it until I'm happy with it.
