I've read a lot of romance novels and I've written two, and I have to say that I don't have a favorite fictional couple. There are too many that I like to have just one favorite.

This will sound crazy but I feel the characters coming through and I start writing. That's how it happened with Little Bits of Karma. I was reading other people's past life regression stories on the internet and got the idea for my novel and since then its taken on a life of its own. Music also inspires me, and hearing certain songs sparks the feeling and I start to write. It happens spontaneously.

I take a break and go do something else. I keep it foremost in my mind and think about the characters and what they should do next. The block dissolves eventually. It usually comes through when I'm intently focused on something else. The next situation or character conversation will start running through my head.

It is so much fun! I enjoy the creative process, thinking up plots and characters.

If you have friends and family who are willing to read and honestly critique your work you are ahead of the game. I didn't have much luck with that and published Little Bits of Karma on a wing and a prayer. If you plan to use an indie or self-publishing company, start saving your money!

I'm currently working on the sequel/spin-off to Little Bits of Karma. It's tentatively titled "Tough Karma." Two of the minor characters, Amber and Bryce, from the original story are now the protagonists and Holly, my protagonist from Little Bits, is in this story as well. She has a minor but influential role as an advisor. This next story is darker and finds the plotting cousins in a frightening life or death situation with a new twist on their relationship. The only clue I will give is that they find out they are not blood cousins; you can imagine what comes next.

I've always been fascinated by the concept of reincarnation and pre-birth planning and was reading past life regression stories when I got the idea to write the fictional story, Little Bits of Karma. The idea gnawed at me for a few weeks until I decided to start writing it.
