No, probably the end of my first novel. Having built up the tension throughout the rest of the book I did not want to lose it all with a bad ending. I think that I was successful. Some may disagree.

In my youth I played a lot of RPG board games and some of the campaigns we played out have inspired some of my plotlines.

Reading other books, watching movies/tv programmes of a similar genre, and just about anything else that sparks my ideas.

Until you have a finished product there is no need to sell it. It can just be a rough first/second draft but you need a complete storyline written.
