I got the idea for my most recent book from, oddly enough, my last book. I always take forever thinking up a new scenario, so I've found I work best in stories which use the same backdrop. It doesn't mean they're all interconnected or even feature the same characters. The dinosaur story I'm currently writing for instance is not connected with any of the others, but since the backdrop was already there, it means I can start writing without having to think too hard of where things are coming from. Which means, of course, I get to focus mainly on the characters, which is a plus.

Currently working on my 10th dinosaur story, redrafting my 5th and 6th WetFish stories and plotting the 56th in a separate series which I don't intend to publish.
Aside from that, I'm thinking about plotting another detective story and redrafting a novel I wrote many years ago which I like to refer to as "Sleepless in Seattle meets the Iliad."
Apart from that, just kicking my feet really.
