Tameri Etherton Oh wow. Writer's block sucks. No way around it. If I'm stuck on a scene I'll go for a walk, or take a nap, or go for a long drive and work out the problem. If I'm stuck on the entire concept of the book, I'll write out interview questions for my characters. The more I know about them and their motivations, the better equipped I feel to write their story.
Tameri Etherton Getting to make stuff up! On paper, you aren't limited by physics or technology. You can do whatever you want and create a world where anything is possible. I love that.
Tameri Etherton First, don't call yourself an aspiring writer. That gives you an out. A writer is someone who writes. You're a writer.

Next, write.

Don't procrastinate. Don't find reasons why you can't write. Sit your butt in a chair and write. And never, ever wait for your muse. As Nora Roberts says, she's a fickle bitch. If you wait around to be inspired, you'll never finish a novel.

Now, go write.
Tameri Etherton I currently have three projects I'm working on ~

The first is book three in the Song of the Swords series, titled The Ruins of Mallaqai.

The second is a romantic suspense set in San Diego.

And the third is a novella set before the first book in the Song of the Swords series. It tells Rhoane's story of how he came to be Taryn's intended.
Tameri Etherton I'm always inspired to write. For me, writing is an adventure. I love to get lost in a story and let the characters tell me who they are and what they want.
Tameri Etherton The idea of living on another planet, after having been raised on Earth, intrigues me. What would a modern woman do if she was thrown into a situation completely out of her comfort zone? From there it was a lot of 'what if' scenarios. What if she wasn't an orphan? What if her family wanted to kill her? What if she'd never had a boyfriend? What if she had huge magical potential?

That was the fun part. Answering all the crazy 'what if' questions.
