I try to have a couple of projects on the go so when one stalls, I can bounce to another. Also, I love blogging. I set myself little blog challenges (such as announcing a series) that forces me to power through any blocks.

Write. Every since day. And try to edit the work of other writers. One of the best things for my craft was to work as an editor for Literary Mama. I got to help shape the work of writers who were far more talented than I was and learned a lot in the process.

I'm currently working on two projects. The first is a book on running your career (and life!) like a boss. It's geared towards women who are starting their careers and who are mid-career (especially those returning to work after kids.)
The second project is a black comedy based on some of my own experiences. It takes place in Oakville and makes my neighbours kind of nervous I think!

My co-author used to use the expression 'engage the fox' to describe how good companies find those agile individuals who can think outside the box and put them to work. I had been looking for a way to bring our Critical Thinking training classes to life in book form and thought that anthropomorphic animals might make it interesting. Thus Engage the Fox, with its fictional structure, was born.
