An article, about the US Embassy in Baghdad. A billion dollar facility that has more floors below ground than above. An American outpost, located in the most hostile region in the world for Americans. A facility with perimeter defence systems that are classified Above Top Secret. It's a great place to set my latest thriller.

I write books that I'd love to read but have never found. I write because I believe I'm a good thriller writer and I want to entertain readers. And getting good reviews/messages from readers telling me they've enjoyed my books makes it all worthwhile.

Two projects. The first is the sequel to 'The Angola Deception'. Working title for that one is 'Fortress', a military/horror thriller. The second is a movie script, called Brutus, a thriller about a Special Branch surveillance officer who goes rogue. I'm enjoying writing both.

A writer has to love writing. If the thought of hammering out 90k words of quality fiction, then editing it again, and agains, and again, feels like a chore, it's probably not for you. As Ray Bradbury once said "Do what you love and love what you do."

The freedom to create worlds and populate them with whatever characters I think will work. It's definitely not the money :)

Thankfully I don't get this too much. When I write it tends to flow, but sometimes I do get stuck in scenarios, e.g. how can I unite Sunni and Shia to fit the book's worldview? So when that happens I'll take a day off, do something else, go to the cinema, gym, golf range, anything. Normally that does the trick.
