I didn't intend to write a book, but small projects over the years culminated into the need to compile life and experience.
As a past Home Storage Specialist for my local church, I often was asked questions such as: "How do I get started storing food?" and "How do I know if I have enough food for my family?".
I wrote this book on the premise: "Eat What You Store, Store What You Eat."
I felt that if I knew the answers, then I basically had the responsibility to share them.

I am currently in 'muse-mode' ~ pondering over my next writing idea.

Write. Your drafts do not need to be perfect or even to make sense. Getting the words out is imperative. As the characters and plot mature, the writing can be refined and organized.
Write...the book won't ever come to fruitation if it stays in your brain.

Definitely writing in in my jammies. The 2 am writing blitzes at the kitchen table with a mug of cocoa and a slice of pizza. Watching my kids blossom into aspiring writers as they channel their own imaginations through a keyboard onto a sheet of virtual paper.

First, I walk away from the computer and change my environment.
I then consume a balanced diet of chocolate, take a walk, watch a movie, read a different genre of book, review other chapters of my book, take a nap. Sometimes I give an excerpt to a couple of friends, that love me, and ask them what they honestly think and what they suggest. I also have successfully utilized fervent prayer for some hope of a nick-in-the-brick.
Ofttimes writing ideas happened in the shower or while I was driving...so I learned to memorize, or I stopped what I was doing and dried off or pulled over quickly to sketch my thoughts.
Honestly, most of my better ideas came when I wasn't writing. Porch swings, nature walks and gardening are excellent mediums for the brain gears to start turning.
