During the largest agricultural strike in California history, I served as staff attorney for the United Farmworkers Union (UFW). I opened law offices in Stockton, Merced, Fresno and Delano, CA.
Throughout the Second Wave of the feminist movement, I participated in a consciousness-raising group and other feminist activities in Berkeley.
And from my college days to the present, I have participated in civil rights causes. During a crisis in Oakland between the Black Panther Party and the police, I slept in the local BPP office as part of an effort organized by the National Lawyers Guild to stave off police attack.
From these various milieus, my novel Tell No Lies springs.

Hmmm. That it is connected with thinking deeply about the nature of the reality in which we find ourselves. Of course that is a very broad statement, to say the least, so different people will focus on different facets of our complex jewel of a life. But whatever intrigues the writer calls her into a complex inquiry, which enriches her life.

I wait until the motivation plus the time strike again, but I have not been prolific, so I suggest a more aggressive strategy.
