Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Ben Robertson Jared Diamond's Collapse was my first exposure to the mystery of what might have happened to Greenland Norse. While Diamond's account was interesting, I found Kirsten Seaver's The Frozen Echo and The Last Vikings more valuable and compelling. Seaver's excellent books provide clues to what might have happened based on the latest archeological research, most notable for me was the work of Jette Arneborg of the Danish National Museum, her own experience as a person of Norse descent, and historical context.
